This is not the first time that a Houston area chemical plant presented a danger to workers and nearby residents. Earlier this year a fire broke out at the Celanese Industrial chemical plant, also located in Pasadena.
On March 11, 2023, the City of Houston reported on a chemical plant fire that reportedly caused at least $15,000 of property damage. The fire was reportedly caused by an equipment failure.
And, as we previously reported six people were hospitalized after a chemical leak at a Fort Bend power plant. The leak exposed numerous people to an “unknown chemical.”
What to Do If You Are Injured in a Chemical Plant Explosion
If you are injured in a chemical plant explosion, you need to speak with an attorney. Depending on the circumstances, you might have the right to compensation for your injuries. It is important to act quickly as you generally have a limited amount of time to file a claim for damages.
An attorney can help you understand your rights and determine who may be liable for your losses.
