The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 is a prestigious legal organization. It recognizes the top trial lawyers from each state (or region) under the age of 40. The designation is by invitation only to attorneys in the practice areas of civil plaintiff or criminal defense.
Attorneys are selected for the Top 40 Under 40 award based on a number of qualifications, including:
- Leadership
- Reputation
- Influence
- Statute and public profile
In addition, those chosen must have superior “qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young lawyer.” The selection process includes peer nominations and third-party research.
About Jacob Karam
Attorney Jacob Karam is an experienced trial lawyer. He founded The Karam Law Office with the goal of helping injured parties. To date, he has recovered millions in verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Prior to becoming an attorney, he found success on the football field. As a three-time all-state quarterback, he found what it takes to set yourself apart at an early age.
Some of his proudest achievements include being named captain of his two college teams at Texas Tech and the University of Memphis. After college, Jacob played in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers.
After his time on the gridiron, Jacob decided to pursue his love of the law. He graduated with cum laude honors from the University of Houston Law Center, even delivering the commencement speech. He took the tenacity and grit he learned playing football and applied it to the law, opening his own law firm in 2020. Since then, Jacob has secured multiple multi-million dollar results for his client.
